Reside is widely recognised for its success in identifying and promoting residential development opportunities, particularly sites where complex planning, technical or environmental challenges require an innovative approach. We believe the key to our success is the collaborative approach we adopt with private landowners, agents and partners, underpinned by excellent communication and engagement.
Our land and planning team is adept at understanding Local Authority housing policies and recognising where housing shortfalls and changing planning circumstances may create opportunities. This enables us to identify sites with development potential and develop strategies to bring them forward through the planning system. Key personnel within the business have the experience and expertise to address intricate planning and technical issues, with a clear focus on adding value through successfully navigating the planning framework. The team concentrates on Greenfield and Brownfield land, as well as strategic sites, typically ranging from 20 plots to those with the potential for 500+ units.
Working with agents and directly with private landowners, Reside offers the experience, expertise and financial commitment to maximise the value of land holdings through its detailed understanding of the local market and planning process. We take responsibility for funding and managing the promotion process, allowing landowners to benefit from the value created without having to fund the planning exercise themselves.
Reside adopts a flexible approach to land promotion and looks to secure opportunities through promotion agreements, option agreements, joint ventures and, where appropriate, conditional or freehold purchases. Our preferred approach is to align our interests with those of the landowner, with Reside rewarded through an agreed share of the uplift in value achieved when planning consent is secured and the land is sold.
